About the event
Ketamine-assisted couple therapy is an emerging approach that integrates the psychedelic effects of ketamine with evidence-based principles of couple therapy to support relational healing and growth. This seminar offers a broad introduction to the clinical and conceptual foundations of this work.
Kayla Knopp, PhD and Chandra Estelle Khalifian, PhD from Enamory will explore why relationships are central to mental health and wellbeing across the lifespan, and how key principles from cognitive, behavioral, and emotionally-focused couple therapy can be meaningfully integrated with ketamine treatment. They will also examine how ketamine's biological and psychological effects may support the change processes that couple therapy aims to cultivate.
The session will include an overview of a clinical protocol for ketamine-assisted couple therapy, spanning assessment, preparation, the dosing session, and integration. This seminar is designed for therapists and clinicians curious about how psychedelic medicine can extend into relational work.
